4th Hellenic Conference: "Utilization of industrial by-products in structuring".

The conference took place for the fourth time in a row in Thessaloniki on 11-12 June 2015, following the success of previous conferences in November 2005, June 2009 and September 2012.

At this year's Conference participated except Greeks, eminent scientists from European research centers and organizations,as speakers.

The Conference's sections analyzed scientific issues related to:

-Greek Industrial by-products

-Production - Assesment- Legislative framework - International Experience

-Research on the use of these by-products in structuring

- Applications-Selection Criteria

- Regulations - Technical Requirements

- Economic-Technical approach and Environmental issues (life cycle analysis and cost)

Durecobel project partners have participated in the conference as speakers presenting two scientific works.

 

Research unit of Quality Control-Health and Safety in Minerals Industry, School of Mineral Resources Engineering, Technical University of Crete,research unit of Management of Mining / Metallurgical Wastes and Rehabilitation of Contaminated Soils, School of Mineral Resources Engineering, Technical University of Crete,FINOBETON S.A. - Ready-mix concrete -Asphalts -Dry mortars and TECHNOBETON S.A.-Ready mixed concrete -Marketing -Cement mortars, organized an information day on "Recycling of construction and quarry sector wastes for the production of innovative green building elements," on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 18:00 to 21:30 that took place in the Technical Chamber of Greece in Chania.

Information day took place under the project: “DURECOBEL - Recycling of quarry dust and construction and demolition wastes for the production of novel ecological building elements”.

The TUC in partnership with the Chamber of Chania organize the event " TUC : From Research to Practice", Friday, December 12, 2014 at 18:00 to 21:00 in the Mediterranean Architecture Centre.

In the workshop "TUC:From Research to Practice",our team presentated the research results of the project: DURECOBEL - Recycling of quarry dust and construction and demolition wastes for the production of novel ecological building elements.
